The Name Game

Well the time is almost here, and already I’ve received a few surprises. I’ve been telling everyone that I’m heading to Germany... but it turns out I’ll be in a place called “Deutschland”.

After further investigation, I realized that, Germany is just a nickname used by us crazy Americans. Sort of like how we like to call sauerkraut “Freedom Fruit” or how we call bratwurst “Freedom Wieners”. After even further investigation, (yes, have some free time) I learned the French have another name for Germany, but it’s not what I guessed. Also my exchange school, WHU is actually named "Wissenschaftliche Hochschule für Unternehmensführung - Otto Beisheim School of Management" It just rolls off the tongue.
